Mobile Dock

This mobile phone dock has undergone two design iterations. The objective was to create an ergonomic phone dock with a variable pitch angle, which was achieved using a mated toothed hole-shaft design. The main backing was printed using PLA for a rigid curved finish with an opening for a charging cable. The support stand was printed using TPU for its flexible properties, allowing for smooth behaviour of the toothed angular adjustment system and comfortable table-top adhesion. The rod on the back of the base is also designed for cable management.
In the second iteration, an insert was added for a magnetic wireless charger, alongside an additional guide rod on the support base which can be press-fit to provide a tighter assembly.
