Multi-functional storage for valuable items

With this project I set out to unify form and function in the design of a container for storing valuable items. The upper star-shaped section contains a cylindrical compartment with a magnetic lid, two compartments with sliding planes for storing small items such as jewelry, and two similar compartments with guide pillars for rings. Four corresponding lids radiate outward over them with custom snap-in-place hinges. The lower compartment includes a large drawer and hidden side compartments. The gold accents are textured and coated with a UV cured resin to create a pearlescent effect.
