Screw Management System for Automated Dissassembly

The scope of this project was to design a tool changing system for the unscrewing functions of an automated dissasembly system. The solution makes use of modified tools press-fitted with locating cones which have ears for torque transfer. These modified tools are magnetically mounted by an automated gantry to allow for seamless tool-changing during rapid operation. A video demonstration of a digital twin simulation is included.
